Losing his father was hard enough, but now Ben Grady must face the fact that he and his brother may not be sole owners of their beloved ranch. To protect his family's legacy, he's forced to rely on the legal prowess of the woman who stars in his erotic fantasies: Allie O'Keefe. Ben's never forgotten the illicit encounter they shared fifteen years ago—or forgiven himself for letting her go.
Allie thought she'd moved beyond the scandal that cost her Ben in the past. But working so closely with the seductive rancher arouses the wild child within the cautious woman she's become. Though she tries to keep business and pleasure separate, Allie soon gives in to temptation, and discovers Ben's sensual skills surpass even her X-rated memories…
Allie has every intention of leaving Bull's Hollow forever after her investigation is complete. But there are a few complications. Not the least of which is that while saving the ranch, Allie's lost her heart.
This is the first book in a new contemporary series with characters with a painful past. Ben and Allie were inseparable as teens. Allie's dad worked on Ben's family ranch and his family didn't approve of Allie. Several things happened back then that she thought forever would set them apart. Her dad got fired for stealing from the ranch and someone made a sex tape of Ben and his best friend Logan and her together. She left town with her heart and pride broken. Now years later she's back and she's the one person who can help Ben sort out his legal problems. As a lawyer and claims investigator for his insurance company she's has to find out who is trying to steal a part of his ranch by claiming to be a long lost Grady heir. Allie has to prove there is no heir and someone is committing fraud or Ben might lose the ranch. In the midst of all that Ben and Allie get closer again and secrets come out. There are several things going on in this story as it lays the ground work for the series and brings you the second chance love story of Ben and Allie. There's a few bad guys in the mix and as the secrets start to unravel Allie and Ben get closer. I liked how this story played out. Ben and Allie had a hard and painful break up but once Ben found out everything that happened to Allie during that time he sets out to win her back. He never gives up and knows he has to do it slowly to gain her trust again. A hot mix of sizzling and sweet!! Great beginning to the series. I can't wait to see what happens next! 4 out of 5 stars for Slow Ride Home by Leah Braemel.

The Hanover brothers are doing their best to live down the legacy of their con artist father…but they still have a knack for getting in trouble where romance is concerned.
As the lawyer of the family, Beckett Hanover ought to be sorting through the many claims filed against their family estate—which the brothers have recently inherited from their grandmother. But something about the housekeeper, Sophie, keeps stealing his focus…
Little does he know, as he flirts, what else she intends to steal. The truth is Sophie took the job with one purpose in mind: to help her aunt. But she never expected to find a man like Beck or get sidetracked by the handsome hottie's sweet talk and broad shoulders. Between her secret and Beck’s past, the two are headed for one risky romance.
I'm going to start by saying i missed book 1 of this series. I remember reading the blurb and liking it but somehow i did not read it. If you want to follow this you really need to start with book 1. You can guess at a lot but it's not quite enough. Was in not enjoyable? It was awesome. Made me really mad at myself for missing book one though. Definitely need to go back and read that so i can understand this one more and how it all ties in with the next book. The Hanover brothers are pretty well hated by the town they now live in. They came back to fix up and sell the house their grandmother left them but ended up staying. In this book Beckett the baby of the brothers gets most of the story although there are surprises for other characters as well. Beckett's the lawyer of the family and is constantly trying to sort through piles of paper work to sort through the mess of lawsuits etc from the fall out of their dads schemes. Beckett's grandmothers former housekeeper Sophie is not much of a housekeeper and the brothers suspect somethings up with her and the way she seems to lurk around and the way she doesn't really clean. Beckett's attracted to her though and tries to get past her walls to find out what's going on with her. Sophie's got a pretty big secret though. She's not really there to clean. She's there to find something that was stolen from her aunt by Beckett's dad. She had a rough upbringing with a aunt and uncle who were forced to take her in when her parents were killed when she was only 5. She's never really known love and feels she needs to help her aunt out for all she's done for her. Even if it means sneaking round and lying to Beckett and his brothers. Since Beckett's dad was a big time swindler who lied and stole his way through life Beckett has some huge trust issues and lying and secrets are a big deal to him. I really enjoyed this book even now knowing what happened in book one. Lots of drama but plenty of laughs thrown in for good measure. The brothers are learning to trust each other and be there for each other and act as a family. There is one mystery after another and when one seems to finally comes to light another one pops up. At the end your left with a bit of a cliff hanger and a few questions you want answered. Guess you have to read the next book though to find out what happens next. Well worth reading the each book to find out how it ends. Look forward to book three. 4 out of 5 stars for A Simple Twist of Fate by HelenKay Dimon.

A True Hollywood Love Story?Who's the exotic beauty on the arm of mega-hot ladies' man Bronson Dane? Word is she's Mia Spinelli, recently rumored to be the mistress of her former boss—and Bronson's longtime industry rival. Now she's the personal assistant to Bronson's mother. Is Mia getting "personal" with Bronson, too? He's been spotted escorting her into a Hollywood doctor's office, and Mia has a noticeable baby bump. Has the sultry assistant managed to get under the playboy producer's skin—and into his bed?
This is a true Hollywood kind of story. Lots of Drama and intrigue, secrets and sex! Mia is a sweet innocent girl but her beauty gets her in trouble when working for one brother( Anthony) proves scandalous because the press make it seem like she's having an affair. Even if the relationship is honest she leaves to protect her friendship with Anthony and if possible his marriage. She finds herself working for a Hollywood actress who is a icon and falls into a relationship with Anthony's brother Bronson. To bad Bronson doesn't know his rival in Hollywood is actually his brother. After a wonderful week together Mia find Bronson is to busy for her and then later she finds out she's pregnant. Now what? Bronson was suspicious of her supposed affair with Anthony and what she's might be after by coming work for his mother. Now with this sudden pregnancy he makes comparisons to the last time a woman said she was pregnant with his baby. Mia is a strong and proud woman though and tells his flat out she doesn't want anything from him and doesn't need anything from him. Her heart wants him but she's more concerned about the child she will have and that comes first. The story has a very Hollywood style vibe to it that fits right in with the idea behind the story. If it didn't have all the secrets and cynicism would wonder why it doesn't. Bronson's past experiences shape his views on life and love and he has to try very hard to overcome that and see what he might have in front of him. Mia's parents were killed when she was just 5 and it's not been a easy life since. She sees this at her chance for a family. She would love to include Bronson in that but she won't do anything that won't protect her baby either. I enjoyed this fast paced read and liked the attention to detail Bronson had in the little things when he attempts to get know Mia better. His struggle to believe is a real one and not overly rushed. The characters are strong and interesting and draw you through the story. 4 out of 5 stars for Caught in the Spotlight by Jules Bennett.

With his father's rodeo legacy to continue and a prosperous spread to run, Walker Parrish has no time to dwell on wrecked relationships. But country-western sweetheart Casey Elder is out of the spotlight and back in Parable, Montana. And Walker can't ignore that his "act now, think later" passion for Casey has had consequences. Two teenage consequences!
Keeping her children's paternity under wraps has always been part of Casey's plan to give them normal, uncomplicated lives. Now the best way to hold her family together seems to be to let Walker be a part of it-as her husband of convenience. Or will some secrets-like Casey's desire to be the rancher's wife in every way-unravel, with unforeseen results?
This is book 4 in the continuing Parable, Montana series. If you have been following the series you are probably like me and have been waiting for Walker and Casey's story. Thank goodness Walker has a lot of patience where Casey is concerned because it's been a long long time to a happy ending for these two and upon reading their story you might not be sure there will be one. Both seem to half one foot in and one foot out on their relationship. Casey's kept her two kids paternity under wraps for almost 15 years. Walker knew but when along with it thinking it was for the best but was kept around as a family friend. I didn't agree with this idea for the book but it is what it so i decided to sit back and see how it panned out. I was actually pretty happy with how it's handled. Each of the two kids had different reactions to the news when told and then the fall out. They marry which was odd for the convenience of showing the public they are a family unit. Behind it all though Walker and Casey both made mistakes with each other and had issues from their pasts mixing in with those decisions. Finally though they figure out what's important and how they feel and it all comes together of course. I like the way it ended up and i adored Walker. The man is just about a saint with patience and understanding. 4 out of 5 stars for Big Sky Summer by Linda Lael Miller.

Wishful thinking never fixed anything…but it’s better than facing the truth.
Scandalous, Book 2
Cori’s automatic response to trouble has always been to run in the opposite direction. The last time she left her hometown of Pebble Cove, it was to escape the kind of heartbreak no sixteen-year-old should have to endure.
Now she’s back, mostly to help out with a family crisis. But partly to escape a scandal that the unrelenting eye of the media has blown out of all proportion, and wait for the dust to settle.
People have disappointed Dylan nearly his whole life, but he’s a big boy; he’s learned to move on. Except when it comes to the love of his life, the now-famous, one-name supermodel Corinne. Despite what she put him through—abandoning him when he needed her most—to him she’ll always be just Cori.
When a series of events throws them together, they fall back into old patterns—and into each other’s arms. But even as love rekindles, Cori fights the rising urge to run…before the truth of the night she ran away shatters both their hearts beyond repair.

Contains a flight-risk heroine who must learn to stand her ground, and the man whose love still burns bright enough to guide her home
This is a quick and intense read. Cori and Dylan have a past. First loves when they were teens. First everythings. It all fell apart over night. His parents killed in a hit and run car accident and Cori just gone. He was devastated. Ten years later she's back to care for her ailing mother. The feelings are still there no matter how hard each tries to deny it. It's one step forward and one step back for the pair. Cori has a few secrets locked up inside and in telling them she thinks will kill any hope of a life with Dylan. Their love is strong though and Dylan keeps at her and just when you think they will make it again it all falls apart. Wow! Like i said this was intense. Lots of emotions. Your heart goes out to both Dylan and Cori. Both were hurt very bad by secrets and events in their lives but both show how strong they are in character by fighting to keep going. Some of the conclusions were a bit rushed but that is to be expected in a book this length. If you like a fast read with a quick pace and exciting story this book fits the bill perfectly. 4 out of 5 stars for Secrets From her Past by Jules Bennet.
