Author Biography

National Bestselling Author Tori St. Claire grew up writing. Hobby quickly turned into passion, and when she discovered the world of romance as a teen, poems and short stories gave way to full length novels with sexy heroes and heroines waiting to be swept off their feet. She wrote her first romance novel at seventeen.

While that manuscript gathered dust-bunnies beneath the bed, she went on to establish herself as a contemporary, historical, and paranormal author under the pen name, Claire Ashgrove. Her writing, however, skirted a fine line between hot and steamy, and motivated by authors she admired, she pushed her boundaries and made the leap into erotica, using the darker side of human nature and on-the-edge suspense to drive grittier, sexier, stories.

Her erotic romantic suspense novels are searingly sensual experiences that unite passion with true emotion, and the all-consuming tie that binds—love.

Book review: Forbidden Obsessions (Bondage & Breakfast #4) by Jodie Griffin

Book four of Bondage & Breakfast

Bondage & Breakfast was a safe place for couples to explore BDSM—until an arsonist almost destroyed it. While the inn is closed for repairs, owner Gabe McConnell allows injured firefighter Olivia Watterson to stay and recover as a favor to a mutual friend. His attraction to her is unexpected and intense—but there's no way she's strong enough for the type of play he demands from a sub.

When she arrives at the inn, Liv is shocked—and intrigued. Her unanticipated obsession with the sexy, skilled Dom makes her all the more impatient with her slow recuperation. Even more frustrating is the way Gabe handles her like fragile glass, and she's determined to prove she's anything but by pushing her body to the limit.

Holding back should be easy for Gabe, but the more Liv challenges his limits, the more he craves her, body, mind and heart…

If you have been reading and following this series you probably have been impatiently waiting for Gabe's book. Well here it is! Gabe runs Bondage and Breakfast a bed and breakfast and in the last book it was burned pretty bad in a fire when crazy guy destroyed it.  While he works on fixing the place back up and deciding if he wants to reopen and run his BDSM classes anymore he takes in Olivia Watterson. Liv is a firefighter who was injured in the previous book and is just released from the hospital. Trying to get away from her meddling family she agrees to come and stay at Gabe's place. She's intrigued by Gabe and the things she sees and learns about his business but she's also recovering for a horrible back injury and has a plan to get back on track. She has time for a man right now.  Gabe has always been a man in control over the course of this series. Always sure of himself. Finally we get to see him no so sure of himself all the time. He messes up several times and has to eat a little crow.  Liv finds herself more and more interested in Gabe and the BDSM ways he likes but Gabe keeps handling her with kid gloves.  Both have issues they are dealing with besides their attraction and life choices at this very point in their lives. Several misunderstanding along with being unsure how to proceed from both characters leave you on a roller coaster of emotion as you wait to see if they can figure their way out of it all. One thing about Jodie Griffin books they are no wasted pages and the BDSM is not your typical stuff. It's has the feel of a more regular person  perspective than something totally out there. It's easier to put yourself in the story the way she writes it. This was the first thing that drew me to her writing and what Keeps me coming back. For a quick, fast and exciting read pick up this book. 5 out of 5 stars for Forbidden Obsessions by Jodie Griffin.

Book review: The Five Deaths of Roxanne Love (Beyond #1) by Erin Quinn

 photo TFDORL_sized_300x491_zps954fccb4.jpg

In award-winning romance author Erin Quinn's exiting new paranormal series, a woman who can't die meets the man destined to kill her.

She Cheated Death…

Roxanne Love isn't human. At least not entirely. She tries to fit in but can't conceal her ability to defy death—not from the world, not from heaven's darkest creatures, and not from the Reaper determined to destroy her. Now Roxanne is on the run, her only ally a compelling, dangerous detective with secrets of his own. Against her will, she's drawn to his quiet strength and heated touch. But can she trust him with the truth?

…Until She Felt Death's Kiss.

Incognito as guilt-ridden cop Santo Castillo, the Reaper's plan is simple: get close to Roxanne, uncover the secret of her immortality, and cut it at the source. Yet with his borrowed body come emotions the Reaper hadn't expected. Now nothing is clear but his conflicted desire to protect the woman he came to kill. As destiny forces them to face an enemy hell-bent on using Roxanne to wipe out all of mankind, she and Santo must choose between love…and salvation

This is the first book in a brand new series my Erin Quinn. I am so glad to see her start another paranormal romance series. Book one is a real page turner. Even though the first book in a series is a lot about world building Erin doesn't make it all about that. She builds and she tells the story. Roxanne Love and her twin brother can't seem to die. Well they die but don't stay that way. Roxanne and her sibling own and run a bar together. Roxanne and her twin Reece are working the night a a sexy mysterious and dangerous looking guy comes in. Shortly after all hell breaks loose and that guy saves Roxanne's life. Her brother isn't that lucky. Turns out the sexy guy is the reaper as is the grim reaper. He's tried to reap Roxanne several times and he can't manage to keep her. He's come to find out why and takes on the body and soul of a cop named Santos. What he didn't expect is to take on Santos memories and feelings. A reaper isn't supposed to have feelings. He can't help the pull he feels toward Roxanne. When the attack at the bar happens though it's not a robbery in the traditional sense. There are creatures from the beyond and it's like the plague or something. Now they have to figure out how to fight the devil himself and his minions and find Roxanne brother Reece and figure out why Roxanne and Reece can't seem to stay dead and what it might mean in the long run. This story is fast paced and action packed. You'll be a little scared but won't want to stop because the whole mystery of what's going on is going to keep pulling you to the end. Erin Quinn does what she does best. She keeps you guessing right to the end and you will only get part of the answer and probably more questions. She keeps you coming back for more. I can't wait to see what happens in book 2 when she tells Roxanne's brother Ryan story. An amazing new series by Erin Quinn. Well worth the investment to read this book. 5 out of 5 stars for The Five Deaths of Roxanne Love by Erin Quinn.
