This is the second book in the Thompson and sons series. This one features the only girl in the family Katy Thompson.  Gage Jenick has had a thing for Katy Thompson for a long time but since he grew up with the Thompsons, Katy was also like a little sister to him til one day she wasn't. It complicates things too that her brother is his best friend. Finally Katy has kicked her latest boyfriend to the curb and he sees his chance to make a move. After one night of incredible passion and honest talk about what he wants with her he has to leave for 6 months for a job.  Unfortunately Katy has a car accident right after he leaves that takes away a lot of her memories including what happened the night they were together. Gage gets a deal on his job to cut it back to two months instead of six and when he comes home excited to see Katy he's devastated to see she doesn't remember what happened and what they talked about. This is a fast quick read. Lots of complications stand in the way of Gage and Katy's relationship. She can't remember how to add two and two and people names let alone that Gage told her he loved her before he left. She's left fighting for those memories while dealing a ex boyfriend who wants her back and Gage wanting her. Gage doesn't give up though and starts all over with her.  There is the whole bombshell pregnancy to deal with it. Gage is sure it's his baby but a jealous and manipulating ex boyfriend claims it could be his too.  Love the Thompson family. Katy is a tough chick who can take care of herself and I love how Gage doesn't give up on what he wants.  Book one of this series is in the Anthology "Marked" and takes place at the same time of this book. If you've read it you can pick out spots that go with book one.  Look forward to more of this exciting new series.

Book review: Rocky Mountain Heat ( Six Pack Ranch book1) by Vivian Arend

Oh boy this is a hot little book. I thought it was going to be all about the sex and although it does have a nice part in the story there is so much more to it than that. You have this big family and some secrets and some lust of course. lol It starts out with a prologue 3 years before the book takes place. Jaxi is dating Travis one of the younger Coleman brothers. ( There are 6)  There is a precarious scene or two with Blake the eldest Coleman who after years of looks at Jaxi like a kid sister now is seeing her in a total different light. The Age difference  is 10 years between them and that's one of the main reasons Blake has tried to stay away from Jaxi the past 3 years. There is also the fact that she used to date his younger brother Travis too and a list of things that really don't matter. He taught her how to ride a horse and a dozen other things so he's having trouble switching from brother to wanting to be lover. Jaxi for her part has loved him forever. She only dated Travis party to get close to Blake. Blake's mom breaks her arm in a fall and Jaxi is hired to come stay at the ranch and help with Blake's mom. This stirs up a hornets nest in many ways because Blake isn't the only Coleman brother interested in Jaxi. This is fun to watch folks. lol No matter how much Jaxi wants Blake to see and and admit that she is a grown woman he persists on holding back. Can't last forever though can it. This book had a thread of home and hearth throughout it with all the brothers and family and that drew me in. My favorite part is the bonus chapter at the end. It won't make as much sense if you read it first so no peaking. It just gets you right in the heart though and you have to smile and laugh. Book review: Silent Storm by author Vivian Arend

 I received a eARC of Silent Storm from the author for my honest opinion.

Silent Storm is the third book in the Pacific Passions series by author Vivian Arend. I've read the first two and reviewed the second book here on this blog and enjoyed them so it's not a surprise i would enjoy the this one. These are not long books so if your looking for something shorter but fun and sexy and hot these definitely fit the bill. We met  Matthew Jentry and Laurin Marshall in the first book of this series Stormchild. Matthew is a water shifter and a doctor/shaman for his people and Lauren is a teacher for them and a air shifter. There are several possible problems for a air shifter and water shifter to be together. The 3 books work their way thru those problems and so much more.

Love speaks volumes without a single word.


Pacific Passion, Book 3
In the months they’ve traveled together, Laurin Marshall and Matt Jentry’s attraction has grown beyond spectacular sexual passion to into a deeper emotional connection. Still, Laurin wrestles with one last question: how a water shifter and an air shifter can possibly find permanent common ground.

It's not required for reading this one but you'll understand the story better and if you don't you'll have missed out on some sensational sexy scenes and dialog. In this book Matt and Laurin have been together for a while but Laurin is still not sure the two can be together based on where they come from. Matt has been patient with her letting her sort it thru on her own. While Laurin struggles with her doubts and fears someone shows up and throws a monkey wrench in the mix and things get interesting. Although the books in this series  are shorter one they have plenty of great dialogue and move along at a good pace that keeps you reading and wishing there was more at the end. Just my kind of read.
