This is a 150 novella that's part thriller part suspense with a healthy dose of sexy romance tossed in. The book takes place 10 years after Trace and Skye have broken up. He pretty much threw her up for her own good although she didn't know that. She thought he didn't want her anymore. Skye was this phenomenal dancer and he knew for her to succeed he needed to let her go. It killed him to do that but he did. What he didn't know is she would have given up everything to be with him. Ten years later though she comes to him as a last resort because she thinks someones been stalking her and possibly trying to kill her.  Trace has his own security firm and has connections and is rich now. He takes over Skye's lief pretty much to find out what's going on.  Who is the stalker? Is there a stalker? There is so much packed into these pages. Lots of secrets to unravel and a mystery or two. Can love last after so many years apart and so much hurt? This is action packed. Cynthia Eden drags you right into the middle of it. Book review: Stolen by Shiloh Walker

This is my first Shiloh Walker book. I have heard really good things about her books so i was excited to give one a try. I do enjoy my romantic suspense but this book is one of those that kicks it up a notch in the intensity.  Shay first four years of life is pretty much a blank. She can't remember but tiny bits and pieces. Just enough to haunt her. Her step father blamed her for something but she wasn't sure what. She was taken in at age 4 by a wonderful social worker and adopted. All that changed when she hit 16 and her step father got out of prison and found her. He beat her adoptive mother to death and kidnapped her and did terrible things before she got away.  Two years later when her stepfather was sent back to prison for what he did she simply disappeared.  Now in Alaska she's write of thrillers. She pretty much thinks she's anonymous.  Only 2 people know who she was back then. Doesn't mean she's still not having trouble dealing with everything. She has nightmares about her past that she can't explain. Luckily she has a wonderful man named Elliot though and when things get really bad he's there to help her. It didn't take very long to figure out who the bad guy was in this book so i kept waiting for me to be wrong lol. It didn't happen but there is still a bit of a twist towards the end even though it's not really a big revelation how it comes out.  This book is gritty and intense in some places. Little more than i like but pushing beyond what your used to is always a good thing. The characters are well fleshed out and you just want to hug Shay. Shay may have some pretty big demons in her closet but Elliot has a couple as well that they have to deal with. Shiloh Walker does a thorough job and getting all the details right. My one small problem would be it lagged just a little about halfway through or more. I knew who the bad guy was but it seemed to take to long before the characters did anything logical about it. It is fiction though so it isn't a what would i have done thing. lol 4 out of 5 stars for Stolen by Shiloh Walker.

This is what he thinks he's doing when he finds photographer Sierra Moore in a tent in the middle of a blizzard. Thing is she's not lost and she's loving the storm and the photos she's been able take while it's been raging on. Sierra's had a rough up bringing. Love is not something she really knows about her experiences have taught her how to depend on only herself. Josh might have lost him mom at a young age when she disappeared but he's always had other close family and friends. He's always felt love. He takes to Sierra right away. She's different than any woman he's ever known. Problem is she's got a secret. Josh can tell somethings up but he doesn't want to pry so he lets it go. Sierra has a stalker. A rich man who thinks he can have whatever he wants  has followed Sierra from Paris. He promised to help her with her career but what he really wanted to control her and make her do what he wanted. She thought she had escaped him when she left Paris but he finds her in Wyoming and is playing for keeps. Bringing danger to the whole Conway ranch and family. 

I liked book 2 much more than book 1 for some reason. I struggled with book one some when i was reading it but was pulled right along through book 2. I loved Sierra. She's a tough cookie who learned long ago to stand on her own. Josh is great though too. He sees her for who she is and she's not perfect and that's fine with him. They compliment each other nicely and the family takes to Sierra from the first meeting. 4 out of 5 Modokker Book Pick stars for Josh by RC Ryan. Look forward to the youngest brother Jake. This is my first Samantha Ann King book. I was looking around Netgalley and this cover caught my eye. Love covers! Anyway so i liked the cover so i had to read the blurb sounded interesting and thought i had to give it a try. New authors are always a risk because i hate to not like a book. Not like it enough to write a review of it anyway so i was hoping what i saw at that point meant good book in the end.  Hailey Anderson liked her brothers two best friends. Maybe like isn't a strong enough word. She lusted after them both and probably was in love with them. She didn't think they felt the same way plus they were her brothers friends and also how could she choose between the two so she ignored her feelings best she could. Tried to have a life have boyfriends and find love. When her current boyfriend started roughing her up she broke it off with him. She was scared but thought he'd let her go since he never seemed to think she was doing anything right anyway. Her brother and his wife and his two best friends and her were all going on a vacation to Hawaii. She could regroup there and decide what to do with her life then. To bad Mark and Tony had other ideas. They knew what was going on. That she was attracted to them both. They also thought she would have to decide between the two of them and didn't want to push her or her her. Then they decided they could share her and become a threesome instead of a twosome. Now they just had to explain it to her. lol  Unfortunately her ex wasn't going to give up on her so easily. He started stalking her and threatening her. In Hawaii Tony and Mark started their threesome and it was all knew for them all but now everything was threatened.  I like erotica but erotica with a good story is so much fun to read. I liked the story i liked the characters. I enjoyed reading it for the most part. Only part that bugged me is they use of the word Y'all. To me this word got thrown around a bit random. It didn't fit the characters. They didn't have any other southern accents or words so it didn't mesh and it bugged me every time a character said it.  I think if the story would've opened with a bit more back story with Hailey's boyfriend i would've liked that as well. I still enjoyed the whole thing immensely and would read this author again. Definitely a win for me! Good choice! 4 out of 5 Modokker Book Pick starts for Sharing Hailey by Samantha Ann King.
