eARC Book review: Close to You (Fusion #2) by Kristen Proby
Available August 9th 2016
eARc provided by publisher through Edelweiss
Camilla, “Cami,” LaRue was five years old when she first fell in love with Landon Palazzo. Everyone told her the puppy love would fade—they clearly never met Landon. When he left after graduation without a backward glance, she was heartbroken. But Cami grew up, moved on, and became part-owner of wildly popular restaurant Seduction. She has everything she could want...or so she thinks.
After spending the last 12 years as a Navy fighter pilot, Landon returns to Portland to take over the family construction business. When he catches a glimpse of little Cami LaRue, he realizes she’s not so little any more. He always had a soft spot for his little sister’s best friend, but nothing is soft now when he’s around the gorgeous restauranteur.
Landon isn’t going to pass up the chance to make the girl-next-door his. She’s never been one for romance, but he’s just the one to change her mind. Will seduction be just the name of her restaurant or will Cami let him get close enough to fulfill all her fantasies?
This is my first Kristen Proby book. I had heard of her and it was all good things but never had a chance to read her. The cover grabbed my eye first and then the blurb. Bummed i didn't catch the first book in the series but really hoped that that would not be a problem. It wasn't! Landon is recently discharged from the navy after 12 years of service as a fighter pilot. This is not by choice. He was hurt in a accident. He's not happy about it but he's adjusting and learning to live in the civilian world again. Cami is his sisters best friend. She's been in love with Landon since she was 5 and everyone knew it since she didn't keep it a secret. Now as an adult her heart still beats fast when he's around but she's keeping the love to herself. That is until Landon notices she is all grown up now. This is a sweet and delicious read. There is some drama but nothing to crazy. Some trust issues to work out and feelings to figure out. I love Cami and her friends and Landon is to die for awesome. Everything you want in a hero. I'm thinking i need to go back and read book one and be ready for book three! A solid read from beginning to end!
