Book review: Sweet Madness (Veiled Seduction #3) by Heather Snow

 photo 15778717_zps3e32aa2f.jpg

Available now!

There’s a fine line between love and insanity.

An Untamed Mind

Ever since her husband’s sudden and tragic death, Lady Penelope Bridgeman has committed herself to studying the maladies of the mind, particularly treating traumatized soldiers of the Napoleonic Wars. It is this expertise that brings the Marquess of Bromwich’s family to her door.

Gabriel Devereaux’s unexpected and unpredictable episodes are unlike any Penelope has studied. The once proud soldier has been left shaken and withdrawn, but she manages to build a fragile trust between them. Strangely, Gabriel seems completely lucid when not in the grips of his mania, and in the calm between bouts, she is surprised by how much she is drawn to him.

Despite his own growing feelings, Gabriel knows that he is fit for no one, and is determined to keep Penelope away from his descent into madness. But even though she knows firsthand the folly of loving a broken man, Penelope cannot stop herself from trying to save him, no matter the cost.

This is book 3 in the Veiled Seduction series. I previously read book one so i knew some of the secondary characters in this book which was helpful but you can read this as a stand alone and be fine. Unfortunately PTSD is something we hear about a lot these days but it's not really a new thing. It's been around for a long time and Heather Snow presents it in Sweet Madness as Gabriel Devereaux struggles with what looks and feeling like total madness or lunacy and they called it back then. Fortunately for him Lady Penelope Bridgeman who was married to his cousin (before he took his life) and knows him well takes it upon herself to try and cure him.  She steals him away from the private sanatorium he placed himself in so she can help him without interference. Slowly Penelope uncovers where his fears  have come from and he begins to heal.  Gabriel has had a thing for Penelope since he first met her, but now with his current condition he is torn between what he wants and what he should do.  As they work through both Penelope's fears and Gabriel's they start a passionate affair. It all falls apart though when Gabriel is made to come to London for a lunacy hearing to see if he is crazy or not. On the cusp of that Penelope gets a major breakthrough and things look good and they have a solid plan. Then the worst thing happens and it looks like it's over for good. This book is full of passion and solid characters. You can feel the strife in both Penelope and  Gabriel and they work through there issues. Your heart hurts because even though this is a work of fiction people have long suffered from the ravages of war. Heather Snow is a new historical author but she writes solid, smart, strong women and matches them with men with a need to protect and nurture. It's a pleasure to read and make your heart think along with your head. Truly brilliant. 4 out of 5 stars for Sweet Madness by Heather Snow.

ps. I checked out the website last week and bought a couple of t shirts for my husband and I. We're both Desert Storm vets and like to support veteran charities when we can. If you can't afford much but want to do something the t shirts are only $5.50 plus shipping. I bought 2 and 2 pins for $1 a piece and with shipping was only about $20. My items arrived at my door in two days and the t shirts are nice.

Book review: Barefoot in the Sun (Barefoot Bay #3) by Roxanne St. Claire

 photo 16103301_zps6fe7ed64.jpg

Available now!

When running is all you've ever known . . .

Caught between fight and flight, Zoe Tamarin has always picked flight. Since she was rescued from a nightmare childhood by her great-aunt Pasha, they've been on the move, never staying in one place long enough to risk exposing their precarious past. But now that they've reached the sun-baked shores of Barefoot Bay, Zoe may have to stay and fight--for her aunt's life . . . and for a love she ran from years before.

Sometimes the bravest act of all is to stand still.

Oliver Bradbury came to Florida to start over, as both a doctor and a father to his eight-year-old son. He never expected life to hand him a second chance with the woman he lost years ago--but one look at Zoe Tamarin and he knows he'll do whatever it takes to prove that this time, he can be the man she needs. But when demands of family and friendship threaten to shatter their rekindled passion, Oliver must heal Zoe's lifelong wounds with more than hot kisses . . . but will that be enough to keep her from flying off with his heart?

I really miss Roxanne St Claire's romantic suspense novels. That's where i fell in love with this author. That's where i fell in love with romantic suspense. I was a little upset when she moved on to contemporary romance. Wasn't sure i could love those books like i did her romantic suspense. Then the first Barefoot Bay book came out. I had to read it of course. Curiosity and resignation whirled inside my head and heart. I felt a loyalty to Rocki and her romantic suspense but also hope that she would knock it out of the park with her new venture into contemporary.  I started with book one " Barefoot in the Sand" last year and enjoyed it so much.  Barefoot in the Sun in the 3rd in this series and wow what a "knock it out of the park" book it turned out for me.  Secrets! So many secrets in this story. It's a twisted tale where you think you know what the heck is going on and then there it is... another twist.  I just love the characters of the series but Oliver really got to me in this book.  It takes a special kind of man to stick with Zoe and love her while she's trying to constantly run away. He has a few bad moments but never really gives up on her. I found myself tensing up the more and more i read the second half of this book. I knew there would be a happy ending but for the life of me could not figure out how it was going to get there. It was a hard journey for Oliver and Zoe to get there, but Roxanne St Claire makes you feel that trip. You take it with them as a spectator really. A front row seat.  It's not all a serious, trouble tale though. Zoe is quite funny and bring that out in Oliver who is quite a serious guy most of the time. One of my favorite lines from Oliver to Zoe is this one. "Well cover your headlights instead so i can stop staring and eat".   One more " Of course she wanted to plow over the tough stuff with sex. And as much as he wanted to drive that plow, refused."  Barefoot in the Sun has it all. A well balanced book with everything need to make it a hit! 5 out of 5 stars!

Excerpt: THE HITWOMAN AND THE FAMILY JEWELS
You know it’s going to be a bad day when your worst nightmare is coming true,
Doomsday is excited, and God is lecturing you about silver linings or some such crap.
I dumped the contents of a dresser drawer into a garbage bag.
If you’d asked me a couple of months ago what my worst nightmare was, I would
have told you it was the possibility of having to move back in with my meddling aunts,
and that’s exactly what I found myself doing.
“You’re doing the right thing,” God told me, as though he could read my
thoughts.
I glanced over at the anole lizard, stretched out in the terrarium perched
precariously in the middle of my bed. His full name is Godzilla, but he preferred to go by
“God”. And yes, I can talk to him. This is a relatively new skill…just one of many I’ve
developed since a car accident earlier this year.
“I know I’m doing the right thing. That doesn’t mean I’m happy about it.”
“Happy DeeDee!” The seventy-pound Doberman Pinscher sprawled in the
doorway, whose real name is Doomsday, was excited because I’d told her we were
moving to a place that had grass. I’d also told her it was hell on earth, but that particular
detail hadn’t registered in her tiny canine brain.
Ignoring her, God said, “You don’t have to like it. You just have to remember that
you’re doing this for Katie.”
Katie was the only person I’d do this for. The lawyer I’d hired to help me fight
for custody of my niece had made the suggestion I move back in with my aunts. She said
it would help to illustrate I could provide a stable family environment for the little girl

Audiobook review: Crystal Cove (Friday Harbor #4) by Lisa Kleypas

 photo cove_zps84b906c5.jpg

Justine Hoffman has made a comfortable life for herself on the island of Friday Harbor. She is the proprietor of a successful boutique hotel, and she has the safe, predictable life she has always wanted. Growing up with her flighty, nomadic mother, Marigold, has instilled in her a deep longing for stability. But in spite of everything Justine has achieved, there is still something missing. Love. And after years of waiting and dreaming, she is willing to do whatever it takes to change her destiny. What Justine soon discovers is that someone cast a spell on her when she was born, with the result that she will never find her soul mate. Determined to change her fate, Justine finds a way to break the enchantment, never dreaming of the dangerous complications that will follow. And when Justine meets the mysterious Jason Black, she accidentally unleashes a storm of desire and danger that threatens everything she holds dear...because Jason has secrets of his own, and he wants more from her than fate will ever allow.

This audiobook was given to me by a friend. I have no read or listened to the other books in this series. I didn't feel i missed anything by starting here though although it might have helped to read the first three first.  Justine is happy with where she's at in life except that she's missing one thing. Love!  She finds out someone put a spell on her as a baby to prevent her from having real love. She decides to try and do something about that. In the mean time Jason Black shows up at her hotel. Rich with a list of requirements for him and his staff. He's got a motive for being there though. He's a man without a soul and thinks Justine has a spell book that can help him.

Kind of a interesting audiobook. The voice work is well done. Every character has a different sound and fits the character. Jason is kind of a sneaky selfish guy but at the same time he's attracted to Justine. He battles what he wants and needs and still he tells himself it's OK to be sneaky and lie to Justine.  The book is supposed to be contemporary romance but it still have elements of paranormal and BDSM. Since i read all three of these it didn't bother me but i was a bit surprised all the same. The scheme for Jason is to get a soul but when he finally gets the spell book and has someone cast a spell for him it ends up putting Justine in grave danger. He saves face in the end but it's kind of a emotional mess to get there. I enjoyed the book but felt it was a little all over the place still. 3 out of 5 stars for Crystal Cove by Lisa Kleypas.

Book review: The Hitwoman and the Family Jewels (Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman #4) by J.B. Lynn

How do you say “no” to a mob boss?

When bumbling hitwoman Maggie Lee is asked by her mob boss employer to kill a cop, she wants to say no.

When her sexy murder mentor, Patrick Mulligan tells her the cop in question is a guy she once dated, she REALLY wants to refuse.

But when her former date, Paul Kowalski tries to kill her, she changes her tune to “Hell, yes!”

Along with her snarky talking lizard, grammatically-challenged Doberman, and a pissy cat, she races to solve the mystery and protect her family. But nothing in Maggie’s life ever goes as planned…

I have to tell you i don't know where you can get this much romantic suspense mixed with killers, talking animals and comedy. This series is such a mix of all these things and more it's fun to see how author JB Lynn pulls it off.  This is book 4 in the series and i am always drawn into the book pretty fast. Maggie is a hitwoman for hire. She came by it pretty much by accident and now she's kind of stuck with it.  In this book she's supposed to kill Paul Kowalski a cop she once dated. She's kind of on the fence about it until he tries to kill her. That certainly changes her tune. This book gets more into her family relationships. She finds out more about her sister who was missing for years and her relationship with Patrick grows. Sigh Patrick. Somehow i need that whole thing to work out eventually.  JB Lynn gives you just enough story to get you entangled in Maggie's life and you want to find out what happens next.   She ends on a bit of a cliff hanger and a shock. I literally said out loud OMG NOOOO! laughed and then groaned.   To highlight some of the funnier lines involving the talking lizard, God or Godzilla as he is formally known. I'll post some below.  So much story packed into this book. Sucks you right into the Maggie vortex!

"Ow!" a voice that sounded suspiciously like a Englishman with a stick up his butt, exclaimed. ( God was hiding in a box he was not supposed to be in)

I gave him my best suspicious glare, but since lizards don't blink, I was doomed to lose that staring contest. ( yeah a little hard to win that one)

Audiobook review: Reflected in You (Crossfire #2) by Sylvia Day

 photo cross_zps4f52768c.jpg

Available now!
Gideon Cross. As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn't stay away. I didn't want to. He was my addiction... my every desire... mine.

My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful... except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity.

We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession..

I have to start out by saying i did not read or listen to book one so i came into this with book 2. A friend gave me this audiobook. All i can say is WOW! While a few things left me confused because i did not read book one. ( I will soon)  I took me about 3 lines in to get hooked into the story. Gideon and Ava are both seriously messed up. Events from their pasts have given them both serious trust issues among other things.  Their relationship starts in book one and continues in this book.  If you thought it was good in book form you really need to try it in audio. The voice work is superb.  Gideon sounds like the hot sexy guy he comes across as in the story.  Every voice is different and distinct.  You feel like your there living it. You can picture pretty much everything in your head. You feel the frustrations and happiness of the characters along with all the other emotions in between. One of the best audiobooks i have had the pleasure of listening too. Looking forward to book 3 Entwined in you available June 4th. 5 out of 5 stars for Reflected in you by Sylvia Day.

Book review: Midnight Secrets (Wildefire #1) by Ella Grace

 photo 15747396_zpsb67fa431.jpg

AT THE STROKE OF MIDNIGHT, THE HEAT BEGINS

On a hot southern night, with a storm on the horizon, a family is shattered. Three beautiful daughters—Savannah, Samantha, and Sabrina Wilde—go on with their lives, each significantly changed, as they bear the memory of the murder-suicide that killed their parents. For years, they have stayed away from Midnight, Alabama. Until Midnight calls them home.

Savannah is the first one back, when a grueling case in Nashville leads the young prosecutor to seek shelter in the quiet of the once grand Wilde mansion. But when she finds letters casting doubt on her family’s dark, shameful past, she realizes that peace in Midnight is a shallow façade and sinister secrets lurk beneath the surface. Zach Tanner, once the town’s bad boy, is now the new police chief and still has a wild hold over her. Zach can feel it, too, but he hurt Savannah once. As teenagers, they broke every rule together. Now it’s his job to keep her safe, even though he isn’t sure who her enemies are—or which ones might be his own

This is book one in the Wildfire Series by Ella Grace.  It serves as a intro into the series and the 3 Wilde triplets get introduced whom the series will be about. It all starts with a murder/suicide. The girls are just young kids at age 10 when it appears their father murders their mother and then kills himself.  Later as teenagers of 18 years Savannah falls for bad boy Zach Tanner. She sees in him what most other people don't. He's sweet and sensitive and takes care of those he cares about. Then right on the cusp of him leaving for the military it all falls apart. The promises he makes to Savannah are shattered overnight. Ten more years pass and when Savannah is forced to go back to Midnight, Alabama to take a break from her job as a prosecutor and close up and sell her family home she finds herself running into Zach again.  Zach is now a war vet and the town's police chief.  The chemistry is still there and things begin to sizzle between the two again. When Savannah finds some letters from her grandfather which indicate her father might have been innocent and murder victim as well Savannah and Zach start investigating a 18 year old murder case which starts a mess of terrifying incidents that tells them they are on to something. While trying to find a killer Savannah and Zach get close and have to learn to trust each other again and let go of old hurts and tell secrets that might end their fragile new beginnings. Lots of things going on in this book because you have to intro quite a few characters and yet tell the story of Savannah and Zach.  The couple have a long way to go to finding their love again. The suspense keeps you guessing. The guilty party was a big surprise to me. Never would have guessed it. I think this was a solid intro into the series and i loved the love story here and it hurts the heart to know that Savannah and Zach wasted ten years of happiness they could have had. Definitely looking forward to book 2 in this series.

Tiffany Allee Don't Bite the Bridesmaid Cover Reveal and giveaway!

 photo DontBiteTheBridesmaidFinalx500_zps982cec1b.jpg

Blurb for Don't Bite the Bridesmaid:

Alice Shepard needs one thing: a date for her sister's wedding. And not just any date. A hunk who will make her fiancé rue the day he left her for her best friend. Her drop-dead gorgeous neighbor fits the bill—even if he is a bit quirky and never comes out during the day—and Alice has downed just enough appletinis to ask him. But she makes it quite clear that there will be no funny business.
Spending a week on a cruise ship full of humans while sleeping close to his sexy next-door neighbor sounds like a helluva bad idea to vampire Noah Thorpe. But his friends need time to get him out of a shotgun wedding—a vampire bonding that will tie his fate to a female vampire he's never met. And Alice's offer comes at just the right time.
 What could possibly go wrong?

Excerpt:

“That sounded like it hurt,” he said, kneeling in front of her and taking her foot into his hand.
“It’s fine. I’m just a klutz.” Her toe throbbed slightly, calling her a liar with every beat of her pulse.
He grinned at her red toe. “You didn’t seem like a klutz on the volleyball court today. I think you were trying to hide your blush. No doubt, terribly perverse thoughts about me were flying through your head.”
She gaped at him.
“Your toe is fine,” he announced, but he didn’t release her foot. He looked up and met her eyes, and the intensity of his gaze swept over her. Desire hit her like a bag of bricks, a swift blow that robbed her of her breath and made her whole body ache.
“I was thinking no such things,” she said, wishing her breathlessness didn’t give her away.
“Liar.”
“We aren’t right for each other. And what happened last night isn’t happening again.” It wasn’t. It couldn’t. There was no way she’d be able to stop things again like she did the night before. Not if he kept looking at her like that. And he was a vampire, just like Olivia. And she’d run off after swearing to love her brother forever. What would stop Noah from doing the same? Vampires weren’t normal people. She had to remember that.
“You’re right. We aren’t right for each other.”
Anger flashed through her, fanning her desire in a most annoying way. The greatest defense is a good offense. “We’re not. In fact, I can’t think of anyone less suitable for me.”
“Oh?” He quirked an eyebrow at her and she ignored it. How could he look so scrumptious and be so annoying at the same time?
“No. Besides, I’m not looking to be tied down.”
A feral grin blossomed on his face. “Don’t worry, Miss Shepard, if I tied you down I’d be sure to untie you in the morning.”

Though wary of Nick's change of heart, Carter is soon swept up into the mystery  and the arms of a man she swore she'd never fall for. As buried secrets surface and passion grows, the shocking details of the missing gold are revealed. So are Nick's true motives, leaving Carter to wonder if everything between them has been just another cunning ruse...and if Nick has more secrets yet to share. It will take a heart of gold to find the truth and have faith in a timeless love...

This book has a character from Jessica Birds Leaping Hearts. She is only mentioned in that book you don't meet her. Her being Carter Wessex or CC and she is referred to in Leaping Hearts.  Carter is gorgeous and smart and witty and when she meets cynic Nick Ferrell to ask about doing a archeological dig on his land she's got her work cut our for her. Nick doesn't believe in love but he did love his sister who died tragically and left behind her teenage son whom Nick is trying with a lot of difficulty to raise. He loves the boy but can't seem to find the right path to them getting a long. The voice work on this audiobook is really good as it was in Leaping Hearts. If you enjoyed that you'll like this one as well. There is romance and intrigue and danger throughout the book. Nick and Carter butt heads on the way to finding out secrets about lost gold and a mystery on Ferrell mountain and falling in love.  A really exciting and hot thrill ride throughout! 4 out of 5 stars for Heart of Gold by Jessica Bird.

Audiobook review: Leaping Hearts by Jessica Bird, Kate Rudd (Narrator), J.R. Ward

 photo 14290403_zps7ebf4299.jpg

Everyone thinks A. J. Sutherland is crazy to buy a rogue stallion that no rider or trainer has been able to tame. But if anybody has the hustle to make something out of that hell-raiser, it's A. J. She can't do it alone, however, so she goes after the great Devlin McCloud, an equestrian legend with a bad leg ? and a worse attitude. Devlin recognizes a fighter when he sees one ? and that horse isn't a wallflower, either. Before he knows it, he's got a wild stallion in his empty stable and a hotheaded, heavenly-bodied rider sleeping on his couch. But can he get all three of them through the championship in one piece? This passion he's found with his rider is compromising training ? and at this level of competition, any distraction is not just unprofessional but downright deadly.

This my first book as JR ward writing as Jessica Bird. AJ Sutherland buys a very expensive and wild and untamed stallion to train. He's got a bad reputation and is extremely hard to handle and possibly dangerous. Her father owns Sutherland stables and until she buys the stallion it was run by her and her step brother. Her step brother is not a horseman doesn't enjoy the job but does well with the financial side. Problem is he's bossy and hateful to A.J. He tries to block her from buying the stallion but it doesn't work  so then he forbids her to bring it to their stables and her father backs him up and makes him the controlling person running the stables. So there she is with her heart broken by her family with no place to take her expensive stallion and no place to live. In comes Devlin MCloud. He's a champion rider who was injured around a year before when his beloved stallion took a fall seriously injuring him and ending his career. Breaking his spirit when he can't ride anymore he  is also forced to put the stallion down. Both he and A.J. have battered hearts and spirits just like the new stallion. She gets him to take her on and train her and the horse but when things heat up between the two of them things get complicated. Secrets are kept and feelings get twisted. This was an enjoyable audiobook. The voice work was good and believable. Which is you listen to audiobooks makes a world of difference in how you much you like the story.  I enjoyed the relationship between the main two characters and some of the secondary characters drove me a little nuts but were enjoyable as well.  4 out of 5 stars for Leaping Hearts by Jessica Bird.

Book review: Thrill Ride (Black Knights Inc. #4) by Julie Ann Walker

 photo 15831824_zps834626ae.jpg

Available now!!
He's Gone Rogue

Ex-Navy SEAL Rock Babineaux’s job is to get information, and he’s one of the best in the business. Until something goes horribly wrong and he’s being hunted by his own government. Even his best friends at the covert special-ops organization Black Knights Inc. aren’t sure they can trust him. He thinks he can outrun them all, but his former partner—a curvy bombshell who knows just how to drive him wild—refuses to cut him loose.

She Won't Back Down

Vanessa Cordova hasn’t been the team’s communication specialist
very long, but she knows how to read people—no way is Rock guilty of murder. And she’ll go to hell and back to help him prove it. Sure, the sexy Cajun has his secrets, but there’s no one in the world she’d rather have by her side in a tight spot. Which is good, because they’re about to get very tight…

This is book 4 in the Black Nights series. I have not read the first 3 books and although i could see when reading that there were things that went on in previous books that would've helped me better understand this book it really didn't bother me. The Core story for Rock and Vanessa was there and well written. Most of the things were easily figured out just by reading. I would love to go back and read the first three books still. Mostly because i enjoyed this one so much and the writing. Julie Ann Walker writes a story that's fun and exciting with her witty dialogue while at the same time your are suspended in the intrigue, romance and the conflict between the two main characters. The secondary characters compliment the main story as well.
Here are a few of my favorite lines.

" Why are you grinning at me like a possum eatin' a sweet 'tater?"

Ozzie piped up with " Good God, You two have got to quit that. You're making my boy parts get bigger!"

Lastly .

And when he saw her crashing through the undergrowth, dirty, bedraggled, and so beautiful he could barely breathe, making him hotter than a billy goat in a pepper patch just by stomping toward him with unconsciously sensuous gate of hers, he knew he was a lost cause.

Just in those lines you can see the humor the romance and some of the conflict.  Rock is from the south with a hot sexy voice. I would love to hear this book in audio. If the voice work is good it would be phenomenal.  Rock is a man with no future. Branded a traitor and supposedly gone rogue and a possible murderer. The Black Knights don't believe it or don't want to, particularly Vanessa. Vanessa has gotten to know Rock and remembers all the things he has done to help her feel welcome in the group. They set out to find him and then exonerate him. The book is action packed and will take you as the book title states on a Thrill Ride!! 5 out of 5 stars for Thrill Ride by Julie Ann Walker.

Book review: Mustang Sally (Hot Rods #2) by Jayne Rylon(18 and over)

 photo 16107042_zpsd5417421.jpg

Available June 4th 2013 Pre-order now.
Two men will give her the ride of her life.

Hot Rods, Book 2

Salome “Sally” Rider is flooring the gas pedal of her pink ’69 Mustang, desperate to outrun the memory of two of her fellow mechanics getting busy with some bar skank on the hood of a classic car. On her custom paint job.

For years her emotions have withered while her lost boys, her Hot Rods, have grown closer than brothers. Maybe some downtime with the Powertools sexperts will help her figure out why Eli and Alanso went looking for some stranger when Sally was waiting right at the ends of their grease-smudged noses.

Sally is dead wrong about what she thought she saw, and Eli “King Cobra” London and the rest of the thoroughly rattled Hot Rods are determined to prove it. They’ll show her in the sexiest possible way that she’s not merely an interchangeable part in their well-oiled machine.

Yet just as Eli gets up the nerve to make a very indecent proposal, a ghost rises from her painful past. Threatening to slam the brakes on their future before they can get it in gear.

Product Warnings
A sexy car wash complete with lots of studs may not be enough to clean up the pages filled with massive ménage scenes starring extra-dirty mechanics.

Mustang Sally picks up where King Cobra leaves off. You must read book one for book 2 to make sense or you'll be lost so start with King Cobra. At the end of King Cobra, Mustang Sally runs off to spend time with the Crew from the Power Tools gang( Power Tools series). She feels lost and hurt after seeing Eli ( King Cobra) and Alanso with a hook up from a bar. After some time away from her guys spent with the Power Tools crew and some lessons  and a pep talk from the crew she's ready to go home.  That's when all the fireworks start! Whoa! If you thought book one had a really high HOT factor book 1 has nothing on book 2.  Finally Eli and Alanso get their chance at showing Sally what she means to them and show them they do in a BIG way! The rest of the Hot Rod crew chimes in to help them and show her what she means to them as well. You might want to have a glass of ice water handy to cool off by the time you get to the epilogue.  I like that the author is throwing in bits of pieces of the other mechanics so you get to know them more and more and the appearances by the Power Tools crew is fun too. I loved that series so i am glad she carried them over to this one as consultants to the Hot Rods.  If you want hot sizzling sexy menage with hot guys and a story to go with it you can't go wrong with this  new series by Jayne Rylon. She's off to a racy start with the first two books! 4 out of 5 stars for Mustang Sally by Jayne Rylon.
